Today I've waken up at 7:00 am because it's been the first day that we've been to
Washington DC. We've gone from Flint Hill to the subway station in Vienna by a Flint Hill school bus and then we've caught a subway to the center of DC. Once there, we had to eat our lunch very early (at 10:30 am) because we couldn't get food into the US Capitol Building. Then the first building that we've seen it's been the Capitol. A part of it was under construction (the dome) but we've seen the whole building and a video explaining the origin and the functions of the Capitol. Then we've been to the National Gallery of Art, the National Sculpture Garden, the National Museum of Natural History and the Castle of the Smithsonian Institution. Then we've returned to Flint Hill and there our families have picked us up to our houses. Then I've gone with Aaron and Rachel to celebrate the Rosh Hashanah in a house of some friends of the family. The Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish celebration of the New Year so they have a dinner with tradicional food and I really liked that food. It's a tradition for them to eat apple with honey in the Rosh Hashanah. After we've eaten Aaron, Rachel and I have gone to their house. It has been a nice day here at Virginia!
