Our trip to the USA or to Catalonia explained by our students. They have shared and shown their most outstanding experiences, information about the most important landmarks we have visited, their improvement at the English or Spanish Language, some reviews of their everyday life and their most beloved memories though photographs. You can also find some useful tips for the school exchange trip and learn differences between British English and American English.

2nd Day - Tuesday 8th September by Xènia Llobera
Today was the first day visiting New York.
First we started visiting the World Trade centre where we saw the basement of where the twin towers were set and the big space where the Twin Towers once stood, now waterfalls rush into two enormous square memorial pools. That is what I liked the most. Then we went to visit two churches near the towers that were very important on the 11th of September; Saint Paul's church and Trinity Chuch. After watching the new skyscrapers in that area of Manhattan such as the Liberty Tower, we went to visit the area of Wall Street, the permanent and principal home of the New York Stock Exchange, the beating heart of the finantial district. Next we went to catch the ferry to go to see the Statue of Liberty. It was amazing! We also visited the 'Grand Central Station,' the historic Grand Central Terminal that is a famous NYC landmark in Midtown Manhattan. Later we went to visit the Empire State Building that is a 102-story skyscraper located in Midtown Manhattan too, between West 33rd and 34th Streets. It has a roof height of 1,250 feet (381 m), and with its antenna spire included, it stands a total of 1,454 feet (443 m) high. Finally we went to walk and admire the impressive Times Square with thousands of lights that left us completely astonished!
