Fotos del fin de semana en Barcelona
Though it’s extremely hard to believe, this morning I woke up at 6:00 am in the United States and now, 33 hours later, I am in a bed at a hostel in Barcelona. As of right now, I have not truly even slept in those 33 hours, so the only things keeping me going right now are the copious amounts of chocolate I’ve eaten and the cappuccino I had right off the plane in Barcelona. The flight to Dublin, while long, was good. Our dinner on the flight featured really good blackberries and water contained in a box, so I was a happy camper. Once we got to Barcelona, we dropped everything off at our hostel and walked down <paseo de la Gracias where we saw buildings designed by Gaudí called La Pedrera and Casa Battlo. Then we went to lunch at the Corte Ingles in Plaza Cataluna at the top of the mall. It had an amazing view of the city and I had one of the best traditional Spanish paellas of my life. Then, we walked around Plaza Catalonia and chased pigeons for a few minutes. Unfortunately, we lost Pranav for a few minutes there, for he got so into the sport. But once we found Señor Paloma (his new nickname), we went to the cathedral. Geese were inside the courtyard of the cathedral and we thought it was really cool. Then we passed through the Palau de la Musica and lastly went to La Boquería, one of the most amazing places I have ever visited. I had fresh ago juice, hand crafted chocolates, and fresh fruit. Everyone in the group got something they liked at this amazing market. No words can describe how incredible it is. Then we went to the pier where we unhappily found out we had to pay 1 Euro to use the restroom. So, we took the metro back to our hostel, showered, and ate dinner. Tomorrow is an early morning, so I am off to bed. It is 10:00 pm here but 4:00 pm at home. Oh boy!
