8th Day Friday 31st March- Washington D.C.- By Aran Teixidó

At my for day at Sameer's home, I woke up at 6:00 am and I had breakfast with Clemence (French Girl) and Alex (Chinese Kid). Then Tania (The babysitter of Sameer) prepared mine and Clemancé's bag lunch because we would pass all day in Washington D.C.
First we took the bus from school to the capital and in Washington D.C. we saw the house of George Washington. The house of George Washington was spectacular because of its size and ornate qualities. It had a garden that was very green and big, from the garden you could see the big river. Even so the day was very wet and we got soaked.
In the afternoon we all were in the mall walking and shopping together. After that I went home and ate dinner and relaxed. Now I'm doing my homework and talking with Sameer. Overall today was a good and I can't wait for tomorrow.

Today, my partner, Ananya, and I woke up at 6:30 am. We were a little bit slowly when we were getting ready today, because we were so tired from a long day yesterday. So, we eat breakfast in the car on the way to school. Ananya dropped me off at the front of the school, and she went to class. All of the Spanish and French students boarded the bus and we travelled to Mount Vernon. It was raining really hard, but we brought umbrellas and ponchos. The bus dropped us off in front of the house, and after we entered, we began to look at various rooms. We got to see bedrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen, George Washington room, guest rooms, servant's rooms, the garage and cars, and stable. I thought the gardens and trees were very beautiful. We also saw the memorial in honor of the slaves that worked at Mount Vernon. Then, we went to the museum next to the house that had information about George Washington's life. Then, we ate lunch. I ate a salami sandwich and a peanut butter-jelly sandwich, and a banana. Everyone shared the lunches and I tried new food like pepperoni, apple chips, sweet popcorn, and cheez it's. We planned on going to see a Nationals baseball game, but it got cancelled because of the heavy rain. So, we returned to school and met our partners. Then we decided to go to the mall all together. We shopped at Victoria's Secret, Starbucks, Sephora, and Hollister. Then, Ananya's mom picked us up to go home. After this, we relaxed at home, and ate chili-dogs and salad for dinner. Then, we went to go play with a new puppy in Ananya's neighbor's house, and then we watched a movie and went to sleep. I love to stay with Ananya and her family. Her dog is so cute.

7th Day Thursday 30th March -Washington D.C- By Alena Arbós

At my third day at Jayna's home, I woke up at 6:00 am and I had breakfast with her and her family. We both grabbed a bag with school stuff and some snacks in case we were hungry during the morning. It took about half an hour to drive from home to school, but once we got at school at 8:00 am, we went to Jayna's graphic design class where we talked about companies logos and each student had to create their own logo for an imaginary company (either a restaurant or an ice cream shop). After that, I went to a Spanish class due to the interest that students had to talk to an Spanish student. My last class of the morning was biology, it took place at the school lab and the teacher was talking about gens mutations. I'm a ballet dancer and I had the chance to see the room where they teach jazz or ballet, that was my favourite fact of the day. All of the exchange students and me also met the headmaster Mr. Thomas who was so happy to have all of us at Flint hill. Furthermore, he gave each one of us papers with facts about the school and a personalized coin which had "Flint Hill School" by one face and "driving spirit" by the other one. By the time the class had ended, everyone was having lunch since the school has lots of choices for students to eat. Everyone at Flint Hill was asking questions to all the Spanish students about our country or our habits... Some of them even wanted to know our opinion about President Trump! Once school-time was over, we drove home and hanged out with her sister and parents. We were about to have dinner at 7:00 pm and after that all of us spent our time to rest or doing homework.

6th Day Wednesday 29th March - Washington - by Neus Roca

Today I woke up at six o'clock. I went to Flint Hill School, and I met with Patrick, my partner. Then we took the metro to go to Washington DC. When we arrived there we visited the gardens in front of the White House, a magnificent white building famous worldwide. Afterwards, we came inside and we visited so many different lovely rooms. Each one was decorated in a different colour and they were called, the blue room, or the red room, or the green room. There was also the China room, the library, the spectacular East room among others. After that visit we walked around the Washington Monument with its 50 flags that each flag represents a state of the USA. We walked under the cherry blossom trees that were fantastic till the Jefferson Memorial. In the afternoon, I stayed with the family and we went to walk the dog. Finally we had dinner at home and we spent time together.

But once we were inside we felt free to visit and see lovely pictures of other presidents of the USA during their stay there. The president of Catalonia, Carles Puigdemont has been in the White House the same day as us. But we haven't seen him. We've been there from 11:00 am till 12:00 am and after that visit we had lunch in a park nearby. Later we went to visit the Washington Monument also called the pencil and had some pictures under some cherry blossom trees. We walked along the lake called Tidal Basin which was full of cherry blossom trees. There was also the Cherry Blossom Festival with some performance of some good singers. It has been a lovely sunny day. We have visited the Jefferson's memorial and saw many people rowing in some boats. We spent the afternoon with the families.
