8th day Thursday 13th September - Washington DC by Blanca Palau

My day started by waking up at 6am. I got dressed and then I had some eggs and bacon, they were delicious ! At 7:15 am, we took the car directly to Flint Hill. The classes started at eight o'clock. First of all we had to go to advisory where they talked about their schedule about the day. There some of us found out that most of us and the students from Flint Hill were wearing the same T-shirt color, maroon. It was so funny !  After 10 minutes of that introductory class it was time to go to our classes for the day. My first class was Spanish with Sra. Santos, we saw an Spanish video and then we talk about it. Later Natalie and I went to Econ, where we learned about micro and macro enterprises, it was so interesting ! My next class was Spanish again but this time I went with some of my friends because they wanted us to make oral comprehension with the Flint Hill students who were studying Spanish all these years. They were all so interested in learning and speaking this language. The headmaster of Flint Hill welcomed us with a fantastic breakfast and a fantastic appreciation to all of us, they handed us a cute fluffy husky, their symbol. Our last class was a History one, there the students and the teacher asked us some questions about the political situation between Spain and Catalonia. They wanted to know our point of view. After finishing our schedule it was time to have lunch. We had some Mexican food in the cafeteria, and it was so tasty ! The schoolar time was finished and it was time to go home. That same day my American friend, Natalie, after dinner, brought me to a shopping centre near from our house. There she showed me an ice shop called Roller Monster. It wasn't a normal one, they were making ice cream rolls, a especiality in USA. I enjoyed an Oreos ice cream rolls. It was one of the best ice creams I've ever had, it was so yummy !

This day a lot of people and I were wearing the same t-shirt color, maroon.
