If this doesn't give you chills nothing will
It was a normal day at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum, when all of a sudden, a lone airwoman appears from the crowd playing a tune on her clarinet. Suddenly, a crowd forms around her as more and more musicians join in. It was 2014, and the United States Air Force Band left an entire crowd of museum visitors totally stupefied.
To pull off this magical moment in viral video history, more than 100 airmen musicians came together to perform their surprise routine. Watch in awe as the Air Force Band delights visitors with a flash mob to holiday favorites, including “Greensleeves/What Child Is This” and “Carol of the Bells.” By the end, when the entire flash mob forms and fills the museum with their voices and instruments, I was completely covered in chills. Can you imagine what it must have been like to witness this musical moment in person?!
Not only is it a great holiday surprise, but it’s also an incredible performance by the talented airmen. Every year, these heroes get together for a new surprise performance, and I can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves this year…
