12th Day Monday 17th September-Washington by Abril Mañero

Today I woke up at 6:00 am because I every day Nadia and I leave at 7:30 a.m. 

After I had breakfast (some fruit and one coffee) I took the car with Nadia and we went to school. In the car we love listen to music very high for start well the day!

At school the teachers and we waited for the bus. At the time it arrived 

we went to take it and was traveling at Washington D.C which first that we visited was the Library of congress.

Then, the teachers left us to visit the National Air and Space Museum.

After that we walked to the Capitol where we ate what the families had put us to lunch. While we were eating it started to rain and quickly we entered inside the Capitol. The Capitol are very big and wonderful!

Finally, we took the subway and went to school where I was waiting for Nadia.

When Nadia end her football match we took the car and after went home to had dinner with her lovely family.

I had a nice day!!

12th Day Monday 17th September - Washington DC by Blanca Palau

Today I woke up at 6am. I had a great breakfast with my wonderful family. After that it was time to go to school, so Natalie and I went to Flint Hill. At 8:45am a blue bus took us to the subway station. There our metro was waiting for us. We arrived at Washington DC at 9:30am. We had some time left so we went to visit The Library of Congress, it was so big and incredible and the place where the people study was like an American movie ! Later all the group went walking to the United States Capitol. Our visit was starting a bit later so we decided to have our pack lunch before going inside. That day my family prepared for me a ham sandwich, some strwberries, and some delicious things like chips, kit kat, goldfish, ... We ate our lunch with the nice views of the front part of the capitol. Unluckily it started to rain, but we all had our umbrellas in that moment. Later inside the building a guide explained us some interesting facts about the US Capitol talking through some headphones and a type of  MP3. It turned out to be a nice and enjoyable visit! Finally, at 3 pm we took the subway and return to Flint Hill School with out great partners. When  I arrived home I had a wonderful dinner with my family. Later my family  brought me to Target, a famous shop in America. I saw all kinds of Oreos and Chips Ahoy that aren't in Spain. It was a huge grocery store! When we were back at home they made me some delicious waffles. It was a long day and I was really tired, so I went to sleep as soon as I could.

11th Day Sunday 16th September - With family by Albert Llobera

I have risen at 9 to go to a Christian Mass at 10, the church is very modern, after Mass I went to a brunch, that is breakfast and lunch, at Silver Diner which is a very typical restaurant in the USA . After that I went to buy things for home in a large warehouse and by the end of the day I went to an airport museum where I saw the fastest plane in the world, a space plane, the plane that took the nuclear bomb, the capsule that broke the record of losing itself in parachutes and many more things. After all, in the same museum I went to watch a movie.

12th Day Monday 17th September - Washington DC by Guillem París

The 12th day, when Pau and I woke up and we had breakfast (typical American breakfast) with Sameer and his mother, Silpha, we went to school and we waited the bus for going to DC. That day we visited the Library of Congress, where people tend to study a lot. I was amazed since I had never seen a library as big as that one, and so many books together.

There were no words! 

Eventually, we visited the famous Capitol with a guide, who was talking and explaining to us through the headphones we were given before. It was so great as we could understand all the explanation with totally success. And believe me… if you have a fantastic guide, history can be so funny and interesting! We had as well a little mishap... the weather. When we had lunch, it started raining a lot and we had to be quick eating. Despite that, all went okay.

Finally, we took the bus and we arrived at school. We met all our American's friends but at last, we returned at home as tired as every day, so we went to sleep early for being ready for the next day!

This it was a different day for everyone because we all did unalike things. Now I'm talking about me:

Saturday night Yoss stayed to slep in Gillespies house, this is the family where I stayed because Morgan's family ( where she stayed ) were in Philadelphia to celebrated a birthay from one of the family. She slep with me, in the same room. On Sunday we woke up around ten thirty, we had breakfast with our American friends but before that we saw an old series. Later her mother took us to the mall, we went there to see a film although we couldn't saw the film as it was for people over seventeen... So taking advantatge of that we were there, we went shopping. We bough a lot of things, especially some cookies which are very typical in USA, are so tasty!

At night we had dinner with Gillespies family, we ordered hamburgers from a very typical restaurant of their town, Great Falls. To finished the day, we saw a film called 'Sierra Burgess Is A Loser'. Then, around 11 o'clock we went to sleep. It was a really funny day!

11th Day Sunday 16th September - With family by Andrea & Judith Malagon

On Sunday I got up at 6am and we went to Lake Anna with my host family and my sister. When we arrived at the house we went with a fast boat and we did surfing on the lake then Ila' s dad pulled us from his boat We were on an innertube. Then we had a bath and did surfing again. It was amazing. After lunch we watched a movie. Finally we come back to Fairfax, had a shower and went to a restaurant for dinner. It has been an incredible day!

10th Day Saturday 15th September - Washington DC

Saturday was a relaxing day because we slept until 12 o’clock furthermore I was tired due to the the Black out party that took place the day before.A fter that I went to the mall, called Taysons that is just ten minutes far from Maddie’s house. We where shopping for 3 hours which were enough to buy three sweters, one pair of sneakers and many sweets from a famous sweet shop. When we came back home we got dressed to go to have dinner in a Japanes restaurant called Sakura. We ate a tasty chicken with fried rice called Teryiaki and I loved that mixture of flavours, I relally desired to have one restaurant like that in our town. After that we just went for a walk arround the expensive stores in that street and then we got home after a relaxing day. Because a new day was waiting for us, Maddie had a surprise for me and I was very exited to wake up the following day and know where we were going to go on Sunday.
