6th Day Tuesday 11th September - New York to Washington DC - BY PAULA GISPERT

6th Day Tuesday 11th September - New York to Washington DC

September 11th was the first day attending to classes at the Flint Hill School, the first impression of the building was fabulous, the commons had trees in the middle and the classes where so colorful and modern, with lots of brand new devices...But the best part was when I saw that incredible sports zone with tennis courts, futbol/soccer fields, and an athletics track too.

The first three hours I attended Spanish classes, and my goal was to make them learn something about immigration and some useful questions for life. At lunchtime we all went to the dining room and ate some Mexican food, before that I went to an art class where there was Maddie, the girl who’s hosting me. Finally all the school went to the pavilion because of the terrorist attempt of the 11th September and we saw a short video and did a silence minute, I was amazed about such silence they scored.

6th Day Tuesday 11th September - Washington DC by Blanca Guillamet

On Tuesday we went to classes with our host students. It was a normal day as students do every day. I went to Spanish class with some other students where we presented and we answered questions about Spain. Furthermore I went to a ballet class, now that I have seen it I'm more interested in ballet. In the break everybody went to the gym, we did a moment of silence for the victims of the Twin Towers of September 11 and we watched a sad video about this. After we had lunch in the cafeteria, the food was tasty. In the afternoon I helped Lily's mother to do the dinner. I spent a good time during the dinner with her family. Then I was tired so I went to sleep.

5th Day Monday 10th September by Tània Camí

This day was really excited because we had to meet our hostfamlilies and our American friends!
And also it was Oana’s birthday!
We woke up really early. I remember that I couldn’t get out of my bed.
We took a bus and for 4 hours we were there. Most of us were sleeping a lot of time.
We arrived at Flint Hill School and everybody was really nervous. We meet our American friends and then we went to their houses.
The night was good. Everybody was nice with me and I’m really glad for that!
